Job Description
Leigh & Co. Events is a fast-growing wedding planning company with a national presence across the United States. Specializing in wedding design, coordination, and full-service planning, Leigh & Co. Events has built a reputation for delivering exceptional, personalized services that help couples bring their wedding visions to life. Our team is passionate about creating memorable experiences through carefully curated details, attentive planning, and seamless execution. As a company dedicated exclusively to weddings, we understand the importance of every moment on a couple's special day and strive to make each event flawless and unforgettable.
Currently, we are looking to expand our team in Iowa for the upcoming 2026 wedding season and beyond. We offer a contract-based Lead Wedding Coordinator role that presents a unique opportunity for experienced individuals who are eager to lead and manage wedding events. This role is ideal for seasoned wedding planners who appreciate flexibility and autonomy, as this position allows you to select your own schedule while playing a critical leadership role in coordinating weddings.
The Lead Wedding Coordinator will work primarily onsite, collaborating closely with client experience managers during the planning phases and assisting coordinators on the wedding day. This role requires providing hands-on leadership and management of wedding day activities, ensuring that logistics, timelines, and client expectations are met with precision and professionalism. Responsibilities include leading final details calls with clients, facilitating ceremony rehearsals, managing vendor interactions, overseeing event setup, and problem-solving to keep the day running smoothly from start to finish.
With pay ranging from $275 to $300 for a commitment of about 10 to 12 hours per project, this position offers competitive compensation paid per completed wedding. Comprehensive training is also provided to ensure that each coordinator is fully equipped to succeed and uphold the high standards of Leigh & Co. Events. Candidates must bring at least two years of relevant experience, exceptional communication skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and physical ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds. A reliable form of transportation and availability to work weekends are essential, given the nature of wedding events.
Joining Leigh & Co. Events means becoming part of a passionate, dynamic team that values creativity, professionalism, and a deep commitment to client satisfaction. If you are a motivated wedding planning professional seeking a rewarding contract role with flexible scheduling, Leigh & Co. Events welcomes your application and looks forward to helping you grow your event planning career while making dreams come true for couples across Iowa and beyond.
