Job Description
Leigh & Co. Events is a rapidly expanding wedding planning company with a nationwide presence across the United States. Specializing in wedding design, coordination, and comprehensive planning services, this company prides itself on creating memorable and seamless wedding experiences for engaged couples. With a commitment to excellence and a dynamic approach to event management, Leigh & Co. Events offers tailored services that cater to the unique vision and needs of each client. The company is known for fostering a supportive and flexible work environment, allowing team members to thrive and grow professionally in the wedding planning industry.
The Lead Wedding Coordinator position at Leigh & Co. Events presents an exceptional opportunity for individuals passionate about wedding planning and eager to play a central role in orchestrating one of the most important days in a couple’s life. This is a contract-based role, offering flexibility in scheduling which enables coordinators to balance work and personal commitments effectively. Pay for this position ranges from $350 to $400 per project, with an expected commitment of 10-12 hours per event. Training is provided to ensure coordinators are fully equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
As a Lead Wedding Coordinator, the role primarily focuses on onsite coordination throughout the wedding day. This entails working closely with client experience managers during the planning phase and collaborating with assistant coordinators on the day of the event to ensure flawless execution. Key responsibilities include attending final details calls approximately six weeks before the wedding to confirm logistics, timelines, and client expectations. The Lead Coordinator will also lead the ceremony rehearsal, ensuring all participants understand the timing, processional flow, and critical cues.
The role demands a calm and solutions-oriented presence on the wedding day, acting as the main advocate for the couple to help navigate any challenges smoothly. Responsibilities extend to overseeing setup phases for both ceremony and reception, coordinating vendor arrivals, providing clear communication for event plans, assisting with decor placements, supporting the wedding party and family with timing and guidance, and managing end-of-event tasks such as packing gifts and personal items.
Ideal candidates will have at least two years of experience in wedding or event planning, demonstrating strong communication skills, attention to detail, and reliable transportation. The physical aspect of the job requires the ability to carry and lift at least 30 pounds and work weekends as weddings predominantly occur during these times. Leigh & Co. Events is looking for motivated, organized professionals ready to contribute to creating unforgettable wedding experiences for the 2026 season and beyond. This position not only offers a rewarding career path but also provides the flexibility to set your own schedule while working in a fast-growing, supportive company environment.
