Job Description
Hilton is a globally recognized leader in hospitality, renowned for delivering exceptional guest experiences and fostering a supportive work environment for its team members. With a legacy of welcoming over 3 billion guests worldwide, Hilton stands out for its commitment to excellence, innovation, and a culture that values diversity, inclusion, and well-being. The company boasts a robust portfolio of world-class brands that cater to a wide range of travelers and occasions, setting new standards in the travel and hospitality industry. Hilton's workplace culture has been repeatedly honored on the World's Best Workplaces list by Great Place to Work and Fortune, reflecting its dedication to providing not only outstanding service to guests but also an enriching and rewarding environment for its employees. By joining Hilton, team members become part of a community that emphasizes growth, support, and meaningful contributions to the hospitality landscape.
The role of Sales and Revenue Generation at Hilton is integral to the success of the hotel’s wedding and social event services. This position involves a dynamic combination of sales, client relationship management, event coordination, marketing, and administrative tasks aimed at maximizing revenue and delivering exceptional experiences for clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for soliciting, negotiating, and booking a variety of wedding-related events, including ceremonies, receptions, rehearsal dinners, farewell brunches, and other social gatherings. Generating new business through proactive prospecting, networking, referrals, and industry partnerships forms a core part of the role, as does attending bridal shows and engaging with the community to uncover new revenue opportunities.
This role requires conducting property tours and personalized consultations to showcase the hotel’s event spaces and offerings to prospective clients. Strong negotiation skills are essential to effectively prepare and finalize proposals, contracts, and banquet event orders while ensuring pricing and contract terms align with established guidelines. The goal is to consistently meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets, supported by diligent management of sales activities, forecasting, and pipeline within the hotel’s CRM systems.
Client relationship management is a critical component, involving building and nurturing strong connections with engaged couples, wedding planners, vendors, and community partners. The position serves as the primary contact throughout the planning process and event execution, delivering personalized attention to ensure client satisfaction and handling concerns with professionalism and proactive problem-solving. This approach supports repeat business and referral opportunities through outstanding service.
Collaboration across departments such as Catering, Events, Food & Beverage, Rooms, and Operations ensures smooth event execution and a memorable guest experience. The role involves participating in planning meetings, communicating client expectations, and supporting event initiatives as needed. In addition, the role demands active participation in marketing and business development efforts, which include representing Hilton at bridal expos, networking events, and community functions, as well as partnering with marketing teams to promote wedding packages and special event offerings.
Administrative responsibilities round out the role, requiring meticulous maintenance of client records, contracts, correspondence, and event documentation. Preparing detailed sales reports and revenue forecasts, ensuring compliance with Hilton’s sales standards, and engaging in ongoing departmental meetings and training programs are also vital duties.
Candidates ideally possess a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field, along with a minimum of three years of experience in hotel sales, catering sales, wedding sales, or event management. Experience with luxury hotels, resorts, wineries, or destination wedding venues is preferred, as is familiarity with Hilton’s systems and sales platforms.
Key skills include proven success in sales and revenue generation, strong negotiation and closing abilities, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and proficiency with CRM software, Microsoft Office, and hotel sales tools. The role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and special events, along with the physical capability to stand and walk for extended durations and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Hilton is committed to the personal and professional well-being of its team members, offering unparalleled travel perks, an employee stock purchase program, paid parental leave, personalized caregiving support, mental health resources, generous paid time off, comprehensive health and welfare benefits, and retirement plans. This role presents an exciting opportunity for professionals seeking to advance their careers in a supportive, award-winning workplace culture, dedicated to making every stay and event memorable and magical.
