The Warehouse Runner role at Legends Global, specifically within the ONT Field's Food and Beverage department, is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager. It offers a competitive wage of $26.75 per hour with the employment being under a collective bargaining agreement that requires membership in the union Unite Here Local 11. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of the Food and Beverage logistics by managing inventory, facilitating the transfer and storage of goods, and supporting the concession stands.

As a Warehouse Runner, the successful candidate will handle critical tasks such as receiving ordered goods, verifying them against receiving reports, and efficiently transferring items to designated concession locations following established procedures. The role also involves supervising stock levels to maintain appropriate inventory, ensuring cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse environment, rotating merchandise to prevent spoilage, and maintaining meticulous records of all transfers and inventories. Adherence to sanitation requirements is mandatory to uphold food safety standards.

This position requires a candidate who is adaptive, with the ability to define problems and implement solutions independently. Flexibility to work varied hours during evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential. Moreover, the Warehouse Runner must possess computer proficiency, especially in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication, to perform administrative tasks effectively.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of six months work experience in a service-oriented environment
  • Experience in a food and beverage setting required
  • Valid food handler's card is required within 30 days of hire, company covers training cost and compensates time spent on course
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to pass background check
  • Physical ability to lift at least 50 lbs, stoop, bend, and walk long distances
  • Must follow safety guidelines and precautions
  • Flexible availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of six months work experience in a service-oriented environment
  • Experience in a food and beverage setting required
  • Must have working knowledge of Food and Beverage operations, including inventory, management and purchasing procedures
  • Ability to take tasks that are not clearly defined and appropriately define problem, propose and implement solutions
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Computer knowledge required
  • Strong computer skills with Windows platform, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and e-mail

Job Duties

  • Receive ordered goods and ensure order agrees to receiving report
  • Transfer food and beverage items to concession stands according to Food and Beverage procedures
  • Direct storage, preparation and service of concession merchandise
  • Notify management when inventory needs and assure necessary inventory is ordered, stocked and available
  • Ensure adequate storage of merchandise by continual supervision of stock levels
  • Ensure warehouse is clean and neat
  • Rotate inventory to minimize spoilage
  • Maintain and reconcile all pertinent logs, transfer sheets and ensure that all transfers are documented
  • Ensure that proper sanitation procedures are followed
  • Perform all other duties/responsibilities as assigned
