PFG Customized Distribution is committed to delivering customized attention tailored to the unique needs of each client, with a centralized contact system that manages product lines, menu changes, and account coordination efficiently. Serving customers across the United States and extending its reach to more than 40 countries worldwide, PFG Customized Distribution exemplifies excellence in food distribution, ensuring high-quality service and dependable delivery to keep their clients' operations running smoothly.
This particular job opening is for a leadership role within the warehouse operations segment of PFG Customized Distribution. This means overseeing the process from receipt to shipment, ensuring all operations meet the company's standards and customer expectations.
The Warehouse Operations Manager leads a team of associates, managing staffing, training, performance management, coaching, and problem resolution. This position requires a hands-on approach to promote safety within the workplace, including adherence to safety programs and practices, as well as conducting safety meetings and enforcing the use of proper gear. Collaboration with the Transportation Manager is a key aspect of the role to guarantee operational efficiency in loading and unloading trucks, workload scheduling, and overall warehouse product delivery.
Additional responsibilities include inventory management such as reviewing stock reports, coordinating inventory counts, managing obsolete products, and maintaining open communication with customer service teams regarding stock availability. The role also involves maintaining the physical state of the facility by supervising maintenance and repair activities, ensuring all standardized operating procedures are followed diligently throughout the department.
This position requires a seasoned professional with significant warehouse leadership experience, particularly in foodservice, grocery, refrigerated, or high-volume distribution settings. Experience managing multi-shift operations within a 24/7 or extended-hour environment is essential, signaling the company’s need for robust and dynamic leadership capable of managing a busy, fast-paced warehouse operation.
Working at PFG Customized Distribution promises competitive pay and benefits, including Day 1 Health & Wellness Benefits, an Employee Stock Purchase Plan, 401K Employer Matching, Education Assistance, and Paid Time Off, among others.
