The Warehouse / Delivery Driver role at Stanion Wholesale Electric Co., Inc. is a critical position responsible for managing the receipt, stock handling, and shipping of merchandise. This role involves not only the physical management of inventory but also the preparation and packaging of orders for timely and accurate delivery according to customer specifications. The candidate will work closely with various departments, including purchasing and management, to ensure inventory accuracy and efficient logistical operations. This comprehensive position also provides the opportunity to serve as a backup for delivery driving and counter sales, expanding the scope of responsibilities and skill sets required.
In addition to core warehouse duties, the position requires taking part in training sessions and department meetings to stay updated on operational procedures and safety standards, emphasizing continuous professional development. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong customer service skills combined with excellent verbal and written communication abilities. A valid driver’s license meeting state requirements and a clean driving record are essential, as well as the ability to physically handle stock items, including lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally. A forklift certification is also required, which the company facilitates after hire.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior warehouse or delivery experience preferred
- valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record
- able to pass post offer pre-employment DOT physical
- ability to lift 100 pounds infrequently and 25 pounds frequently
- must obtain forklift safety certification after hire
- satisfactory driving record for insurance requirements
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous warehouse experience preferred
- valid driver’s license meeting state requirements (KS Class-C, MO Class-E, OK Class-D)
- ability to obtain forklift safety certification
- strong customer service skills
- excellent verbal and written communication
- ability to lift 100 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds frequently
- experience as a delivery driver preferred
Job Duties
- Receives deliveries of stock including unloading inbound materials
- receives returned goods and arranges for special shipping orders of stock and non-stock items
- prepares and ships inter-company transfers
- prepares and packages orders for delivery according to customer's instructions
- stocks inventory in proper places in stock bins
- alerts manager and/or purchasing department of discrepancies in inventory counts
- alerts manager/purchasing department of low inventory levels to prevent stockouts
- attends training sessions and department meetings as requested
- serves as the backup to the delivery driver and the counter sales
