Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS
- Basic math skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably in fine dining or nightclub settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS
- familiarity with OpenTable is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and warmly
- Culinary experience or background in food preparation is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while multitasking efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling, cashiering, and accurate order processing
- Previous host/hostess or serving experience is advantageous
- experience in upselling and sales techniques is preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of dishes and beverages to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales and guest satisfaction
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Manage guest inquiries, resolve concerns promptly, and ensure a positive guest experience through excellent customer service
- Assist with food handling, food preparation support, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in compliance with sanitation standards
- Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate seating arrangements and optimize restaurant flow
