The Dining Room Server position at Carillon Senior Living offers an exciting opportunity to be part of this dedicated team in the Health Center. This hourly position pays between $12 and $15 and features varied scheduling, including the necessity of working holidays and weekends. As a Dining Room Server, you will be responsible for providing excellent table service in the community dining rooms, assisting with the smooth operation and upkeep of the dining area, and supporting the Dining Room Manager in various tasks. The position demands a warm, courteous, and attentive approach to residents, guests, and team members, ensuring that meal services and related activities run efficiently and with the utmost professionalism. You will help maintain sanitary and safe conditions in the dining environment while also assisting with the setup and cleanup of catering events. Job Requirements
- Must maintain resident confidentiality at all times
- must have effective communication skills, both oral and written
- have the ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers
- position requires empathy for the elderly
- have the ability to interpret and explain menu, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understands requests
- have at least a high school diploma/ged preferred
- have a minimum of three (3) months previous experience waiting tables in a hotel, restaurant, or club with fine dining preferred
- will train
- able to stand/walk for 100% of the workday
- able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. independently
- able to push and pull bus carts weighing up to 50 lbs. independently
- able to bend, stoop, reach, and balance frequently throughout the workday
- may be exposed to industrial cleaning chemicals and offensive odors
Job Qualifications
- Have at least a high school diploma/ged preferred
- have a minimum of three (3) months previous experience waiting tables in a hotel, restaurant, or club with fine dining preferred

Job Duties
- Sets tables and maintains workstations in proper order
- takes orders, provides service and requested items both graciously and courteously
- clears dishes from tables during and after meal service
- answers pertinent questions about menu items
- assists with dish washing and distribution of clean dishes, if needed
- assists in maintaining a high level of customer service for our residents and their guests
- advises the Restaurant Manager regarding dining room status
- set up all catering events and clean up after all catering events
- completes all assigned cleaning tasks
- maintains safe and sanitary conditions in work areas
- attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned
- performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
- abides by all Carillon policies and procedures relating to HIPAA
