  • Ability to work flexible hours including last-minute reassignment to different dining rooms

  • Ability to follow all organizational policies and infection control procedures

Job Qualifications

  • High school education level preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to speak and read fluently in English

Job Duties

  • Preset tables in assigned area and follow serving and cleaning procedures as outlined in the Culinary Services manual
  • Be courteous to members at all times, take member food orders, serve food, buss table and reset table once member has departed
  • Be familiarized with the daily menu offerings with special regard to chef pre-meal
  • Keep dining room and work area neat and orderly at all times and follow daily sanitation cleaning schedules
  • Be alert to the likes and dislikes of members when serving food and make host/hostess promptly aware of any problems
  • Attend in-service training sessions with co-workers to keep abreast of current knowledge in the field and cooperate with co-workers to ensure a smoothly run department
  • Learn the art of food serving, maintain a pleasant personality, and communicate well with people
