The role of Server at Hollytree Country Club is integral in maintaining the high-quality dining experience the club is known for. This position is available on both a part-time and full-time basis, providing flexibility for candidates with varying availability. Servers are responsible for delivering prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable food and beverage service to club members and their guests. Key aspects of the role include greeting and acknowledging guests, explaining menu items and wine selections, accurately taking orders, and ensuring timely and efficient service throughout the dining experience. Servers must have a good understanding of the menu, buffet offerings, and beverage options including wines and spirits, as well as the ability to handle emergency situations appropriately. The position requires both physical stamina and interpersonal skills, as servers will stand for prolonged periods, carry trays, and engage warmly with club patrons to anticipate and meet their needs.
In addition to direct service duties, servers assist in setting up and maintaining their designated side stations, ensuring that all preparations meet the high cleanliness and organizational standards required. They are responsible for managing billing accurately, verifying charges, and communicating any issues or guest concerns to management promptly. Job Requirements
- Grade 12 education
- Two years of comparable wait service experience preferred
- Ability to read, write and execute basic math skills
- Texas Food Handler certification
- TABC certification
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Capability to walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach
- Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to perform continuous repetitive motions
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Set up side station and perform assigned prep work
- Provide immediate attention to members and guests upon seating
- Distribute food and wine menus and answer questions
- Fill glasses with ice water and suggest menu items
- Ensure correct account numbers and names are given for billing
- Serve food and drinks efficiently and courteously, offering suggestions on specials and wines
- Place orders with kitchen and communicate special cooking instructions
- Assemble food on tray and procure items from stations
- Serve meals by course and check back for satisfaction
- Remove soiled dishes and clear tables after each course
- Present dessert menus and serve desserts, coffee, and after-dinner drinks
- Verify accuracy of prices, taxes, tips, and charges on checks
- Present the bill and handle charges according to procedures
- Keep dining room and bus station areas clean
- Clear, clean, and reset vacated tables
- Advise supervisor of complaints promptly
- Perform clean-up and closing duties
- Attend pre-meal meetings as requested
- Thank members and guests and invite them to return
- Follow laws and club policies for alcoholic beverage service
- Perform other duties assigned by manager
