The role of a Waitstaff at Sunrise Senior Living is crucial to the daily operation of the dining services within the community. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- minimum of one year dining or hospitality experience preferred
- valid CPR and First Aid certifications
- ServeSafe certification
- Local Health Department Food Handler Card
- ability to comply with federal, state, and local food safety regulations
- willingness to participate in required training and re-education
- capacity to perform physical tasks including standing and moving during shifts
- compliance with Sunrise Senior Living’s safety standards and procedures
- ability to pass pre-employment screenings and health evaluations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- minimum of one year experience preferred in fine dining hospitality or full-service senior living
- current certifications in CPR and First Aid
- ServeSafe certification
- valid Local Health Department Food Handler Card
- ability to use computer systems for order processing
- strong communication skills
- demonstrated team collaboration and customer service abilities
- commitment to continuous training and professional development
Job Duties
- Provide timely and professional meal service to residents and guests
- bus and reset tables according to company standards
- clean and maintain dining room and bistro areas
- complete assigned side work
- attend pre-meal meetings to understand daily menu and service requirements
- maintain detailed knowledge of menu items and assist residents with selections
- use company systems for order-taking and meal delivery to ensure accuracy
- practice safe food handling procedures and comply with health and safety regulations
- support additional dining services duties such as washing dishes, sanitizing work areas, food preparation, and plating
- participate actively in team meetings and training
- adhere to company’s core values and service principles
- perform other duties as assigned by community leadership
