The role of the Waiter/Waitress at Morrison Living is a vital part of the culinary team, responsible for delivering outstanding dining service to guests at the Robson Reserve at PebbleCreek in Goodyear, Arizona. This part-time position, with schedules generally from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm and variable days, offers competitive pay ranging from $15.50 to $16.50 per hour. The primary function of this role is to take food and beverage orders efficiently, deliver items promptly with professionalism, and ensure guests have a positive and memorable dining experience. Waitstaff members are expected to greet guests warmly, understand menu offerings and ingredients thoroughly, and provide knowledgeable recommendations on food and drink pairings. Additionally, they maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards and accommodate guests' dietary needs and preferences. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with kitchen and service teams to ensure orders are accurate and timely.

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established service steps
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
  • advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations and accommodate reasonable requests
  • communicate directly with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order delivery and special requests
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and work collaboratively with team members
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • promptly address complaints or issues and relay information to supervisors
  • ensure the dining room is set up properly before and after service periods
  • operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, and coffee machines
  • assist other departments during special events and perform other assigned duties
