Over the past three decades, Occasions Caterers has grown substantially but continues to prioritize personalized experiences that reflect the unique style, taste, and vision of each client. The company prides itself on crafting remarkable events by blending food, design, and hospitality with a deep commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.
The team at Occasions is driven by values such as Excellence, Integrity, Respect, Teamwork, and Innovation, which form the cornerstone of their exceptional service and workplace culture. These guiding principles ensure that every event not only meets but exceeds expectations, creating lasting memories for guests and clients alike. The company values diversity and inclusion, encouraging individuals from all backgrounds to join their dedicated team and contribute to the creation of exceptional catered experiences.
Currently, Occasions Caterers is seeking to fill on-call waiter and waitress positions. These roles are essential to the success of their event operations, requiring individuals who are adaptable, service-oriented, and capable of maintaining the highest standards of hospitality. The schedule for these positions is on-call, meaning that days and hours may vary, offering flexibility but also demanding readiness to respond as needed. Compensation ranges from $23.00 to $25.00 per hour, reflecting the importance of the role and the company’s commitment to rewarding quality service. Online applications are accepted exclusively, and internal employee referral bonuses are available as part of their recruitment efforts.
The waiter/waitress role at Occasions is much more than just taking orders and delivering food. It involves greeting guests warmly, accurately taking food and beverage orders, and ensuring prompt and professional delivery of items. Employees must uphold food safety and sanitation standards while demonstrating a thorough understanding of menu items, including ingredients and potential allergens. This knowledge enables them to advise guests effectively and accommodate special dietary needs. Communication skills are vital, as the role requires close coordination with kitchen staff to ensure special requests are fulfilled accurately and efficiently.
Beyond these core duties, waitstaff are expected to maintain a clean and inviting dining environment, manage cash handling responsibly, and address any guest concerns or complaints promptly and tactfully. The ability to work collaboratively with other departments during special events is also crucial. Overall, this position offers a dynamic, customer-focused work environment where employees can take pride in contributing to memorable dining experiences.
Associated benefits for both full-time and part-time positions include a retirement plan, associate shopping program, health and wellness programs, discount marketplace, identity theft protection, pet insurance, and a variety of voluntary benefits such as critical illness, accident, and hospital indemnity insurance, legal services, and an auto and home program. Full-time associates enjoy additional benefits including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, commuter benefits, employee assistance programs, and flexible spending accounts. Occasions maintains a drug-free workplace and complies with all applicable laws regarding paid and unpaid time off, ensuring a supportive work environment for all employees. Compass Group, the parent organization, is committed to equal employment opportunity and fair treatment of all applicants and associates, underscoring the inclusive culture at Occasions Caterers.
