The waiter/waitress role is essential in maintaining high standards of customer service and food safety in the dining room. Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
  • advise guests on food and beverage combinations and accommodate reasonable requests
  • communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate order delivery and special requests
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain positive interactions with guests and staff
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat dining environment
  • ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service periods
  • operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • work with other department staff during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
