The WAITER/WAITRESS position at Unidine’s Town and Country Senior Living facility in Santa Ana, CA is a full-time role, offering 40 hours per week with shifts running from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm, though days may vary. As a WAITER/WAITRESS, you will act as a frontline ambassador of Unidine’s hospitality excellence. Job Requirements
- Prior dietary aide or senior living experience preferred
- ability to work full-time schedule of 40 hours per week including varied days
- availability to work shifts from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in dietary aide or senior living environment preferred
- strong knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation standards
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to understand and advise on menu items and special dietary needs
- ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- basic cash-handling experience
- flexibility to work varied shifts as required
- ability to maintain confidentiality concerning guests' personal and medical information.
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
- demonstrate comprehensive understanding of menu items and ingredients
- advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations and accommodate reasonable requests and preferences
- communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate order delivery and accommodations for special requests
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and cooperate well with others
- remain flexible and patient when interacting with guests and staff
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe, and neat dining environment
- maintain sensitivity and confidentiality of personal or medical information shared
- promptly address complaints and relay relevant information to supervisors
- set up and maintain dining room before, during, and after service periods
- operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- collaborate with other department staff for special events and functions
- perform other assigned duties.
