Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • takes food and beverage orders efficiently following established service steps
  • delivers food promptly and professionally while maintaining food handling and sanitation standards
  • follows up periodically to assist with additional guest needs
  • demonstrates thorough understanding of menu items and ingredients
  • advises guests on food and drink combinations
  • accommodates reasonable requests and notes guest preferences
  • demonstrates knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed
  • communicates effectively with kitchen staff to ensure order accuracy
  • collects tickets and follows cash-handling procedures
  • promotes a clean, safe, and neat environment
  • addresses guest complaints promptly and reports to supervisor
  • sets up and cleans dining area before and after service
  • operates equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, and beverage machines
  • collaborates with other departments during special events
  • performs additional duties as assigned
