Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically with guests to assist with additional needs or requests
- demonstrate a complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests accommodated
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe, and neat environment
- promptly address guest complaints or issues and relay relevant information to the supervisor
- ensure the dining room is properly set up and clean before and after service periods
- operate various equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- collaborate with staff from other departments during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
