Waiter/Waitress

We are growing our team and looking for culinary professionals with a minimum of 3 years of experience. Looking for service team members with upscale and/or fine dining experience.

 

Must be able to work in a fast-paced, professional environment. Out most desired candidates will be willing and able to work as the business needs. Most shifts will end by 6pm, except Friday and Saturday shifts where we finish by 9pm. The best hours in the industry!!!

Job Description:

The Restaurant Server at Neiman Marcus serves customers in a warm, accommodating, and professional manner consistent to the high standards set by Neiman Marcus.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

•Serve assigned seating section of dining area in a professional and gracious manner •Utilizes thorough knowledge of food, including preparation and culinary terminology, to provide detailed information to customers about menu items

•Leverages knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits, including technical and service procedures •Interacts graciously with the public and handles multiple duties at the same time •Participates in daily pre-shift meeting

•Adheres to established accounting procedures for all transactions, including all authorized methods of payment, and maintains knowledge of the POS system

•Executes pre-shift, post-shift, and daily and weekly duties as assigned by supervisor •Fulfills duties that may involve lifting objects (e.g., tables, chairs, highchairs, etc.)

•Cleans and maintains restaurant and workstation

•Maintains the highest level of hygiene standards to include, but not limited to:

•Clean, pressed uniform dress shirts, dress panty and shoes

•Clean and professionally styled hair and nails, maintained to avoid food contamination risks

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

•Experience in serving food and beverage and following proper table service guidelines •Motivated and results-driven

•Thorough knowledge of order of service and proper placement of table settings (e.g., china, glass, flatware), food, and beverage as indicated by the kitchen ticket and the guidebook

•Thorough knowledge of food, including preparation and culinary terminology

•Ability to interact graciously with the public and handle multiple duties at the same time •Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills

•"Win together" mentality

 

•Role requires standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying 35 pounds •Associates must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays
