Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent desired
  • food service certification required
  • ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for long periods
  • adherence to uniform and PPE guidelines
  • capacity to follow detailed instructions
  • physical stamina for demanding tasks
  • excellent hygiene practices

Job Duties

  • Follow a predetermined menu to prepare food and pastries
  • put together daily reports ensuring transaction and meal planning accuracy
  • ensure meal components are included properly
  • store food correctly to prevent contamination and spoilage
  • serve food to customers according to scheduled meal times and regulations
  • maintain and apply culinary utensils especially blades
  • prepare food items and beverages promptly
  • enhance food presentation through garnishing
  • assist in sanitizing refrigeration, freezers, and kitchen equipment
  • uphold food safety standards including hygiene and handling
  • comply with uniform regulations
  • coordinate with the manager for daily menu planning
  • monitor proper food storage and serving temperatures
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of work and storage areas
  • clean work areas including steam tables, countertops, and machinery
  • execute general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing
  • collect garbage and keep kitchen floors clean
  • perform additional duties as required including support in other kitchen departments
