Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- 0 to 1 year related experience
- meet minimum age requirement to serve alcohol according to local regulations if applicable
- may require valid TIPS, TEAM, or equivalent alcohol-service certification
- comply with state-specific alcohol training requirements
- ability to walk or stand for long periods
- ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally
- ability to perform repetitive motions
- reliable attendance and punctuality
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- 0 to 1 year related experience
- knowledge of menu items and allergens
- ability to provide friendly and attentive customer service
- capability to perform physical tasks required by the position
- familiarity with local alcohol service laws and age requirements
- certification in TIPS, TEAM, or equivalent alcohol service training preferred
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work flexible shifts including open availability
Job Duties
- Greet and seat guests
- present menus and introduce specials or menu changes
- provide knowledgeable recommendations on meals, beverages, and wine
- answer questions about menu items, allergens, and preparation
- accurately take and relay orders to the kitchen
- confirm orders with guests
- process orders in the correct sequence
- check all items for quality and completeness
- ensure presentations are attractive, appetizing, and consistent
- monitor guest needs
- respond to requests
- address concerns or complaints with professionalism
- perform significant walking or other means of mobility
- walk or stand for extended periods, often exceeding eight hours
- reach, bend, stoop, push or pull
- lift up to 35 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally
- use hands to finger, handle, feel or reach with hands and arms
- taste and smell
- perform repetitive motions
- attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
- perform other duties as assigned based on business needs and client requirements
