Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • 0 to 1 year related experience
  • meet minimum age requirement to serve alcohol according to local regulations if applicable
  • may require valid TIPS, TEAM, or equivalent alcohol-service certification
  • comply with state-specific alcohol training requirements
  • ability to walk or stand for long periods
  • ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally
  • ability to perform repetitive motions
  • reliable attendance and punctuality

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • 0 to 1 year related experience
  • knowledge of menu items and allergens
  • ability to provide friendly and attentive customer service
  • capability to perform physical tasks required by the position
  • familiarity with local alcohol service laws and age requirements
  • certification in TIPS, TEAM, or equivalent alcohol service training preferred
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work flexible shifts including open availability

Job Duties

  • Greet and seat guests
  • present menus and introduce specials or menu changes
  • provide knowledgeable recommendations on meals, beverages, and wine
  • answer questions about menu items, allergens, and preparation
  • accurately take and relay orders to the kitchen
  • confirm orders with guests
  • process orders in the correct sequence
  • check all items for quality and completeness
  • ensure presentations are attractive, appetizing, and consistent
  • monitor guest needs
  • respond to requests
  • address concerns or complaints with professionalism
  • perform significant walking or other means of mobility
  • walk or stand for extended periods, often exceeding eight hours
  • reach, bend, stoop, push or pull
  • lift up to 35 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally
  • use hands to finger, handle, feel or reach with hands and arms
  • taste and smell
  • perform repetitive motions
  • attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
  • perform other duties as assigned based on business needs and client requirements
