Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one-year experience in a guest service role or equivalent
- Must be able to stand and walk intermittently and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team members
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required
- Ability to manage groups of guests and deliver engaging experiences
- Must be able to work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions including wet or humid environments
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one-year previous guest service role experience or equivalent
- Enjoys working directly with guests and has experience in a guest-focused role
- Possess ability to execute tasks in an orderly and timely manner and work well independently
- Extensive or ability to quickly learn knowledge of LEGOLAND Parks, LEGO Group, and Merlin Entertainments
- Experience facilitating workshops for groups of 15 or more people
- Ability to deliver information and interact with guests in a conversational manner
- Ability to work well under pressure while providing outstanding service
- Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Job Duties
- Provide memorable guest service while engaging with guests as you support guest flow and safety at all experiences and events
- Use your energy and brilliance to energize and engage with guests in specialized experiences
- Act as a representative of the resort by meeting or exceeding guest service expectations outlined in the Guest Obsession program
- Collaborate with the Guest Excellence team to create memorable experiences in line with Guest Obsession strategy
- Keep up to date on the latest LEGO models, attractions, and resort experiences to incorporate in VIP tours and communicate to hosts
- Quickly build relationships with VIP groups to create memorable experiences tailored to each member
- Utilize knowledge of LEGOLAND California Resort and LEGO creativity to craft and deliver fun, engaging experiences
- Cross-train in other subdivisions of the Resort such as Admissions and Guest Services
- Assist with check-in, build assistance, hosting birthday parties, and setup/breakdown of corporate events
- Perform other duties as required in the VIP Experience or Commercial department
