The Barista role at Vinarosa Resort & Spa is pivotal to enhancing the guest experience across the resort's café, restaurant, and lounge venues. This position requires the delivery of high-quality coffee and beverage services, primarily focusing on the expert preparation and presentation of espresso-based beverages, brewed coffee, teas, and specialty drinks. The Barista not only crafts drinks to exacting standards but also ensures that service is warm, engaging, and efficient, contributing directly to overall guest satisfaction and outlet performance. This role demands strong coffee product knowledge, including understanding coffee origins, flavor profiles, roasts, and preparation methods, which allows for educating guests and upselling specialty beverages seamlessly.
Beyond drink preparation, the Barista is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and proper calibration of espresso machines and equipment, organizing the coffee bar and service counters, and managing inventory levels by communicating product needs to leadership. They are expected to handle multiple orders quickly and accurately while engaging with guests in a professional manner that reflects the resort’s luxury brand. The role also involves cooperating closely with culinary and service teams to ensure timely delivery and consistency in order quality, along with adherence to food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.

Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- Previous hotel, resort, café, or specialty coffee experience preferred
- Knowledge of espresso preparation and coffee service techniques
- Strong guest service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve espresso-based beverages, brewed coffee, tea, and specialty drinks according to standards
- Demonstrate knowledge of coffee origins, roasts, flavor profiles, and preparation methods
- Maintain proper calibration, cleanliness, and daily care of espresso machines and equipment
- Provide warm, engaging guest service while managing multiple orders efficiently
- Accurately enter orders into the POS system and handle transactions with accuracy and integrity
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar, service counters, and guest areas
- Execute opening, closing, and side work duties including stocking, rotation, and mise en place
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate product needs or shortages to leadership
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards at all times
- Support service recovery by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Collaborate with culinary and service teams to ensure timely order delivery and quality standards
- Maintain professional appearance and grooming standards consistent with luxury hotel expectations
