This prominent veterinary practice is dedicated to providing urgent and compassionate medical care to animals in need, operating around the clock to support pet owners and referring veterinarians in times of critical need. With a commitment to excellence, MECA stands as a trusted name in emergency veterinary medicine, blending expert clinical care with a client-centered approach to achieve the best outcomes for pets and their families.
At MECA, the culture fosters growth, collaboration, and compassion, seeking individuals who are passionate about serving people and helping animals. This environment is perfect for professionals who thrive in fast-paced settings, value learning opportunities, and are committed to reliability and teamwork. As part of VCA Healthcare, a national network known for its exceptional veterinary services, MECA leverages advanced medical technologies and a dedicated team of specialists to provide superior care.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Client Service Representative to join our team. This part-time role offers 20 to 30 hours per week, primarily covering a morning shift from 6:00am to 4:00pm, with a requirement to work at least two weekends per month and participate in a rotating holiday schedule. This position may have the potential to transition into full-time upon discussion during the interview process.
The Client Service Representative serves as the vital first point of contact for all clients, patients, and referring veterinarians entering the hospital. Responsibilities include warmly greeting clients and their pets, answering and managing incoming phone calls using a multi-line system, directing communication to appropriate personnel, maintaining accurate client and patient records, handling client concerns with professionalism, and processing payments for services rendered. Accuracy, professionalism, and empathy are essential qualities for this role, ensuring that every client experience reflects MECA's high standards of customer care.
Candidates should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, superior customer service abilities, and proficiency with computer systems. A dependable attendance record, honesty, sound decision-making skills, and the capability to multitask effectively under pressure are critical to success in this dynamic and emotionally charged environment.
Working at VCA means joining a workplace where individuals are encouraged to come, stay, and perform their best work. Alongside the competitive wages offered for this part-time role, MECA provides a comprehensive benefits package inclusive of generous pet care and product discounts, a 401(k) plan with a company match, and innovative health and wellbeing programs designed to support our associates both personally and professionally. We value our team members' commitment and foster a supportive environment that promotes wellness and development.
If you are compassionate, reliable, and eager to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners every day, VCA Milwaukee Emergency Center for Animals invites you to apply. Join a team that values your skills, supports your growth, and enables you to thrive in a rewarding role that combines your passion for animals with exceptional client service.
