We are currently looking for a full-time Veterinary Receptionist to join our growing team. This position offers a competitive salary range of $17.00 to $21.00 per hour depending on experience, with a schedule that includes Monday through Saturday shifts, typically offering one to two days off per week. Shift times vary between early morning and evening hours, ensuring flexibility and coverage for our clients’ needs. The Veterinary Receptionist at Northwood Oaks plays a crucial role as the first point of contact for clients and their pets, responsible for welcoming clients warmly and professionally, managing appointment scheduling, check-ins and check-outs, and maintaining smooth communication throughout the hospital.

Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1-2 years of veterinary hospital experience
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology and common veterinary products
- Experience with veterinary software such as Avimark preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and conflict-resolution abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Positive attitude and commitment to exceptional client care

Job Duties
- Welcome clients and patients with warmth and professionalism
- Manage check-in, check-out, appointment scheduling, and a multi-line phone system
- Answer client questions regarding appointments, medications, and general pet care
- Process payments and maintain accurate client and patient records
- Coordinate patient flow with veterinarians and technicians
- Bring patients into exam rooms and obtain medical histories
- Record patient vital signs
- Assist veterinarians during routine examinations
- Safely restrain patients for examinations and sample collection
- Prepare vaccines, assist with laboratory work, and maintain clean, organized exam rooms
