Job Description

Via Verde Animal Hospital has been a trusted provider of comprehensive pet wellness and advanced medical care services in San Dimas since 2020. This veterinary hospital serves the Southern California community with a focus on collaborative, compassionate, and expert care. The team includes a wide range of professionals, from receptionists who expertly handle the bustling appointment schedules to skilled technicians who assist with complex diagnostics, and veterinarians who respond to urgent medical cases. The hospital conveniently operates weekdays and Saturdays, ensuring that pets receive timely and essential care.

As a Hospital Manager at Via Verde Animal Hospital, you will take on a critical leadership role responsible for maintaining and elevating the hospital's operational excellence and team culture. Your position involves cultivating a healthy and positive work environment aligned with the hospital's WAG values—welcoming, accountable, and growth-oriented. You will guide professional development for all team members, offering mentoring, hands-on training, and career advancement opportunities. This role requires ownership of the hospital's financial health, including managing profit and loss, controlling labor costs, and overseeing inventory to meet or exceed business goals.

Additionally, you will lead recruiting efforts to attract and hire talented individuals committed to high standards of pet care and client service. Ensuring exceptional client experience by proactively addressing any concerns and fostering lasting relationships with pet owners is a key part of your responsibilities. The hospital’s operating hours, including veterinarian presence from 10:00 AM through closing, allow you and the team to balance a rewarding career with personal life in a beautiful and welcoming Southern California community.

This is a unique opportunity to lead an established veterinary hospital with a cultural emphasis on teamwork, growth, and excellent patient outcomes. The ideal Hospital Manager will be an entrepreneurial and proactive leader, passionate about animal care and delivering outstanding client service. Veterinary experience and CVPM certification are highly preferred, though the essential traits include tenacity, resilience, and a leadership style that empowers the team to excel even through change and challenges.

Located in San Dimas, California, the hospital benefits from a loyal client base that entrusts their pets’ health to your team. This role offers great flexibility and the chance to make a significant impact on a dedicated veterinary practice. You’ll help build a high-performing team and support career growth that advances both individual careers and the hospital’s mission of compassionate care. The dynamic work environment and community connections make this role both professionally fulfilling and personally rewarding.
