Job Description
Reimagined Parking is a leading people-driven, tech-powered parking solutions provider operating nationally through its family of recognized companies including Impark, Lanier Parking, Republic Parking, AmeriPark, and Park One. The company manages a vast network of 2,500 high-density parking facilities across 275 North American cities, processing over 34 million digital transactions each year. Reimagined Parking is committed to fostering a positive work culture, prioritizing its teams, and pursuing excellence relentlessly in service delivery and operational efficiency. The organization values inclusivity, equal employment opportunity, and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws concerning employment practices and accommodations.
The Valet Ticket Writer role at the Emergency Room (ER) Ramp is a critical frontline position that embodies the company's dedication to service quality and operational excellence in a fast-paced, high-stress healthcare setting. As the initial point of contact for patients, families, and clinical staff arriving at the ER valet ramp, the Valet Ticket Writer plays a vital role in facilitating efficient parking operations while ensuring a compassionate and supportive environment during sensitive emergencies. This position demands urgency, empathy, and rigorous adherence to safety protocols, including hospital privacy (HIPAA) and infection control standards.
The responsibilities of the Valet Ticket Writer include greeting arrivals with promptness and compassion, accurately processing valet parking payments via cash or approved electronic methods in compliance with hospital and company policy, and efficiently managing ticket issuance by gathering detailed vehicle and customer information. Additionally, the role involves maintaining smooth traffic flow within the ER ramp by coordinating vehicle movement with valet drivers, security, and hospital staff to prevent congestion or delays, particularly to maintain clear access for emergency vehicles.
Candidates must possess strong communication and customer service skills, allowing them to provide clear explanations of the valet process and retrieval instructions even under emotionally charged conditions. The role also necessitates competency in basic computer or tablet applications used in ticketing systems and the ability to handle cash transactions responsibly with end-of-shift reconciliation. Physical demands include the ability to stand or sit for extended periods, walk, bend, move quickly in confined spaces, and safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles over short distances.
This position offers flexible working hours to accommodate the fluctuating demands of hospital operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Reimagined Parking provides a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees, including paid time off, health plans, life and disability insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, an employee assistance program for behavioral health, and parental and caregiver leave. Part-time employees also have access to retirement plans and sick leave benefits. The company participates in E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility and conducts background checks as required.
Overall, the Valet Ticket Writer for the ER Ramp at Reimagined Parking represents an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to hospital emergency operations by combining operational skill, empathy, and exceptional customer service. Candidates who are dependable, team-oriented, able to maintain composure under pressure, and committed to safety will find this role rewarding and impactful within the organization.
