The role of a Valet Supervisor at First Hospitality is a critical position that directly impacts the guest experience. Valet Supervisors are often the first in-person contact for hotel guests, embodying the brand's values through their engagement, attentiveness, and service-oriented mindset. They are responsible for supporting both the realized and unrealized needs of guests throughout their hospitality experience. The role demands a creative approach to problem-solving and the ability to serve as an effective brand liaison, ensuring that guests receive not only standard service but also a memorable and exceptional stay.
Valet Supervisors at First Hospitality take on the primary duties of parking vehicles, delivering and exceeding guest expectations, executing brand service standards, resolving challenges, and maintaining excellent communication with guests, peers, and leadership. They engage in purposeful communication, building rapport with guests to uncover their expectations and meet their unique needs. Additionally, they promote hotel brand loyalty programs, encourage guest participation, and offer special package upgrades, enhancing the overall guest experience.
This role also involves close coordination with various hotel departments to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of guest requests and challenge resolution. Valet Supervisors demonstrate empathy towards guests, listen to their concerns carefully, and solicit feedback when necessary to provide corrective actions. Maintaining professionalism in line with brand and company expectations is vital, along with understanding and communicating hotel emergency procedures to ensure guest safety at all times.
Further responsibilities include providing coaching feedback to valet attendants, assisting with the training of new hires, and helping with scheduling to ensure business needs are effectively met. This position requires physical stamina, including the ability to stand and walk frequently throughout the workday and occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency education certificate required
- Clean driving record
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in primary language used in the workplace
- Ability to stand 8 plus hours per day at standing desk or computer
- Ability to stand and walk frequently throughout the workday
- Ability to lift, lower, and maneuver up to 30 pounds occasionally
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency education certificate
- Clean driving record
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in the primary language used in the workplace
- Experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
Job Duties
- Park and bring up guest vehicles as needed
- Engage in purposeful communication and build rapport with guests, creating an open dialogue to uncover guest expectations and unrealized needs
- Effectively engage with guests through phone or electronic communication consistent with hotel brand standards to ensure guest satisfaction
- Promote hotel brand loyalty programs, encourage guest participation, and offer special rate packages and upgrades when appropriate
- Effectively communicate with hotel departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of guest expectations, fulfillment of needs, and challenge resolution
- Listen to guests and empathize with their challenges
- when necessary, solicit guest feedback and act on guests concerns
- Always maintain professionalism consistent with hotel brand and company expectations
- Know and communicate hotel emergency procedures
- inform and assist guests in emergencies
- Use hotel communication log and verbal or electronic means to notify fellow associates of pertinent information
