The Valet role at ABM offers a perfect opportunity for individuals entering or returning to the workforce with limited prior experience or education. This position involves professional, courteous, and compassionate guest service, maintaining safety and efficiency in vehicle parking and retrieval. The pay for this role is $12.50 per hour, reflecting applicant’s experience, skills, and geographic location, with a standard schedule from Monday through Friday, 7 am to 3 pm. In this role, the valet specialist will be responsible for coordinating traffic flow, communicating procedures clearly to guests, handling guest inquiries, and monitoring illegal parking. Daily operations include collecting keys securely, predicting peak traffic times, managing the tip pool, handling payments, and accurately reconciling daily revenue. Valets will operate vehicles safely, obeying all traffic rules and facility policies, while working outdoors in varied weather conditions. Maintaining cleanliness and the overall appearance of the work area is also an important aspect of the role.

  • Availability to work Monday through Friday 7 am to 3 pm shift hours

Job Duties

  • Coordinate traffic flow
  • Communicate valet procedure, information and directions clearly and effectively with guests
  • Understand and respond appropriately to basic customer and team member inquiries
  • Monitor illegal parking and immediately store vehicles
  • Interact with guests in a friendly manner
  • Assist guests with loading and unloading
  • Collect and secure guest keys
  • Predict and communicate traffic flow peaks and lot issues
  • Identify and arrange for extra support for extended wait times
  • Accurately tally and split the tip pool
  • Receive and receipt a variety of valet payments
  • Accurately reconcile and report daily revenue
  • Project currency and coin requirements and re-order as necessary
  • Operate, park and retrieve all vehicles in a safe manner by obeying all traffic laws, facility policies, and applicable pedestrian regulations
  • Work in an outdoor unprotected environment in all climates for extended periods of time
  • Keep work area clean of debris
