This role is specifically for Valet Drivers at multiple OSU Medical Center locations. Starting pay is competitive at $15 per hour, augmented by tips and bonuses ranging from $5 to $9 per hour, providing a strong earning potential for employees. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- One month related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of customer service principles
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English
- Ability to perform basic math operations with money
- Ability to understand 24-hour and military time
- Ability to operate manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license for the state of employment or commutable state
- One month of related experience or equivalent education and training
- Knowledge of customer service principles
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend standard English
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic including money calculations
- Ability to understand 24-hour and military time formats
- Strong communication skills for one-on-one and small group interactions
- Ability to operate a manual vehicle transmission is highly desirable
- Skill in parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers, and clients
- Greet guests within five feet using their last names
- Use salutations and welcome guests properly
- Practice proper phone etiquette
- Park and retrieve vehicles while driving cautiously
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
- Open vehicle and facility doors for guests
- Provide guests with directions, taxi services, reservations, and information about amenities
- Deliver messages and items as requested
- Shuttle guests to approved locations
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures
- Issue and collect claim checks for vehicle keys
- Complete and maintain all ticketing information including damage surveys and key tags
- Calculate and collect revenue accurately when needed
