As a Valet Driver, you will be the first point of contact for guests, patients, and visitors, ensuring that their parking and arrival experience is as smooth and pleasant as possible.

Daily duties include safe parking and retrieval of vehicles, assisting with luggage when applicable, and providing directions or information about facilities and amenities to guests. Tasks also involve explaining parking procedures and rates, handling claim checks responsibly, and accurately maintaining records related to vehicle parking and guest interactions. The position demands a good understanding of customer service principles, strong communication skills, and the ability to perform basic revenue transactions.

Valet Drivers must be physically capable of performing duties such as prolonged standing or walking outdoors under various weather conditions, lifting luggage or vehicle doors, and operating vehicles carefully in busy environments. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • one month related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within commutable distance
  • ability to read and write standard English
  • ability to perform basic math operations
  • ability to effectively communicate with guests and team members
  • physical capability to perform outdoor work and lifting as required
  • willingness to work flexible shifts
  • ability to handle multiple guest inquiries and duties
  • ability to maintain professional and polite demeanor at all times

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • one month related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within commutable distance
  • knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • ability to read and write standard English, comprehend instructions, and write simple correspondence
  • effective communication skills in one-on-one and small groups
  • basic arithmetic skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with money units
  • understanding of 24 hour and military time systems
  • ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • skill in performing parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain a pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers, and clients
  • acknowledge and greet guests within five feet and use guest last names during interactions
  • use a salutation of the day, welcome guests to the location, practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette, and post up in designated areas when not completing tasks
  • park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
  • assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
  • open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
  • provide information about outlets, meeting rooms and amenities
  • deliver messages and guest amenities as requested
  • shuttle guests to approved locations
  • explain parking rates and retrieval procedures upon arrival
  • issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks before issuing keys
  • consistently complete and maintain ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey and claim check receipts
  • calculate and collect revenue when needed
