At SP+ Honolulu, we are currently seeking a Valet Attendant to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to ensuring a smooth and positive parking experience for customers. As a Valet Attendant, you will be responsible for inspecting vehicles prior to parking, safely driving and parking cars, and providing excellent customer service by addressing queries and explaining valet rates. This position demands a strong attention to detail, adherence to safety and traffic laws, and a professional demeanor at all times. The valet will act as the first and last point of contact with customers, making communication skills essential. The role offers consistent work schedules in a uniformed capacity, with opportunities for special shifts including evenings and weekends.

This position is hourly and includes the potential to earn tips, with a starting wage of $19.00 per hour plus tips. Job Requirements

Valid state driver’s license
acceptable driving record
ability to legally work in the U.S.
availability for special shifts (2nd, 3rd shift and/or weekends)
ability to provide excellent customer service
ability to operate manual transmission vehicle is a plus
must be punctual and wear assigned uniform
strong communication skills
ability to follow instructions and handle unexpected events calmly

Job Qualifications

A valid state driver’s license, current address, and acceptable driving record
the ability to safely drive a vehicle with a manual transmission (stick shift) is a plus
availability to work special shifts if needed (2nd, 3rd shift and/or weekends)
proof of eligibility to work legally in the U.S. (must provide valid documentation if hired)
the ability to provide accurate information to customers and co-workers and respond professionally to customer problems or complaints
the ability to read, write, add, and subtract US currency and comprehend instructions, short emails, and memos
the ability to follow written and verbal instructions and calmly adapt to changes, delays, and unexpected events while working

Job Duties

Inspect every vehicle before safely parking it, noting all findings
explain valet rates to customers
quickly and kindly respond to customer questions
observe traffic laws and safe driving practices
report all accidents, safety hazards, unusual occurrences, and policy violations to management
know major streets, landmarks and freeways in the area and provide customers with directions, if needed
come to work in your clean uniform every scheduled shift, on time and ready to work
remain in complete uniform for the entirety of your shift
assist management with additional duties as assigned
