The Valet position within ABM is an integral part of their parking services, delivering professional, courteous, and compassionate guest service. This role is ideal for individuals entering or returning to the workforce, including veterans and those with limited experience or education. Working shifts Monday through Friday from either 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., the valet is responsible for managing vehicle traffic flow efficiently and safely, ensuring guests receive excellent service from arrival until departure.

The valet interacts directly with guests, providing clear communication about valet procedures, directions, and responding promptly to inquiries from both customers and team members. Key responsibilities include coordinating traffic, securing guest keys, monitoring and managing illegal parking, and ensuring vehicles are parked and retrieved safely and in accordance with all traffic laws and facility policies. The role also requires working outdoors under varying weather conditions for extended periods, maintaining a clean work area, and accurately handling valet payments and tipping pools. Job Duties

  • Coordinate traffic flow
  • communicate valet procedure, information and directions clearly and effectively with guests
  • understand and respond appropriately to basic customer and team member inquiries
  • monitor illegal parking and immediately store vehicles
  • interact with guests in a friendly manner
  • assist guests with loading and unloading
  • collect and secure guest keys
  • predict and communicate traffic flow peaks and lot issues
  • identify and arrange for extra support for extended wait times
  • accurately tally and split the tip pool
  • receive and receipt a variety of valet payments
  • accurately reconcile and report daily revenue
  • project currency and coin requirements and reorder as necessary
  • operate, park and retrieve all vehicles in a safe manner by obeying all traffic laws, facility policies and applicable pedestrian regulations
  • work in an outdoor unprotected environment in all climates for extended periods of time
  • keep work area clean of debris
