Job Description
Tesla, Inc. is a leading electric vehicle and clean energy company known for its innovative technologies and sustainable approach to manufacturing. Headquartered in Palo Alto, California, Tesla develops and produces electric cars, battery energy storage systems, solar panels, and related products and services. The company is well-regarded for its commitment to sustainability, pushing the boundaries of transportation, energy generation, and storage. Tesla operates globally, with multiple production and operational sites, including its Fremont manufacturing facility, one of its flagship locations in the United States. Tesla's workplace culture is dynamic and mission-driven, focused on advancing renewable energy and electric vehicle adoption worldwide. The company values high performance, innovation, and sustainability in every aspect of its operations. Employment at Tesla includes competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
The role of Valet Attendant at Tesla falls within the Workplace team, which is dedicated to creating an optimal environment for Tesla’s high-performing teams. This position primarily involves overseeing parking demand and valet services at Tesla’s Fremont sites. A significant part of the job is to support Tesla’s environmental sustainability initiatives by helping to expand and manage the Electronic Vehicle Charging Program. This includes tracking and analyzing data, educating stakeholders on demand, and contributing to the growth of resources to improve vehicle throughput. This role demands a customer-focused approach to delivering valet and parking services, ensuring safety, efficiency, and a smooth operational flow.
The Valet Attendant will be responsible for welcoming employees, providing exceptional customer service, and handling a variety of employee electric vehicles with care and attention to detail. The position requires adherence to safety guidelines while operating, charging, and parking these vehicles to maximize lot capacity effectively. Inspections of vehicles for preexisting damage and maintaining accurate documentation are critical responsibilities to uphold Tesla's standards of care. Coordination with other valet attendants and staff ensures a seamless parking operation, including effective key management and traffic control to prevent damage or accidents.
The role also requires flexibility, as valet duties may be performed at various Tesla sites, and the attendant will serve as a point of contact for Tesla’s onsite and offsite parking lots and facilities. Frequent vehicle inspections while vehicles are being valeted, securing windows and doors, and supporting parking operations during high-traffic events are part of the daily activities. The position demands physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Tesla offers this full-time position with competitive pay ranging from $20.20 to $30.30 per hour, along with cash and stock awards and a comprehensive benefits package from the first day of employment. This role is perfect for motivated individuals who are strategic thinkers, patient, and capable of maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced, high-stress environment. Tesla emphasizes equal opportunity employment and provides reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities throughout the hiring process.
