This position is for a Guest Service Associate who plays a critical role in delivering exceptional hospitality services to guests. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing guest vehicles in a courteous and efficient manner while maintaining safety and professionalism at all times. The role encompasses providing parking and retrieval services, assisting guests with luggage, and offering helpful information and directions. Additionally, the associate will support guests throughout their arrival and departure, ensuring a memorable and positive experience.
Working primarily on the PM shift from Monday through Sunday, the Guest Service Associate is expected to maintain a friendly and professional demeanor, greet guests promptly, and ensure all vehicle services are conducted safely and efficiently. This position requires a valid driver’s license, the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, and the capability to communicate clearly with guests. Candidates should be able to work outdoors for extended periods in various weather conditions, demonstrating physical stamina and attention to safety.
Towne Park offers competitive pay ranging from $17.81 to $20 per hour plus tips, with a 50-cent shift differential for overnight shifts. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license for the applicable state or commutable distance
- At least one month related experience or training or equivalent education and experience
- Ability to communicate clearly in English
- Physical ability to perform duties including lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to follow established procedures and directions
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- Willingness to work PM shift Monday through Sunday
- Capability to safely operate vehicles and assist guests
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state or within a commutable distance
- One month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division using American money units
- Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
- Ability to operate a manual transmission and perform parallel parking is highly desirable
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using guest last names
- Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
- Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
- Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
- Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
- Provide information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and local attractions
- Deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
- Shuttle guests to approved locations
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures
- Issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks before issuing keys
- Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey, and claim check receipt
- Calculate and collect revenue when needed
