The role of Guest Service Associate at Towne Park is pivotal in maintaining the company's standard of excellence in guest services. The Guest Service Associate is responsible for delivering friendly, professional, and efficient hospitality services to guests, ensuring their experience is pleasant and memorable. This role includes duties such as parking and retrieving guest vehicles promptly and safely, assisting guests with luggage during arrival and departure, and providing information and support to meet guest inquiries. The position demands a high level of interpersonal skills, requiring associates to greet guests warmly by name, maintain a positive demeanor, and communicate clearly. Responsibilities extend to issuing claim checks for vehicles, maintaining detailed records of parking tickets, and managing revenue collection as needed. The job requires attentiveness and the ability to operate vehicles with care, sometimes involving manual transmission skills and proficient parking techniques like parallel parking. Physical demands are considerable, with frequent standing, walking, lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally, and working outdoors in varied weather conditions. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license for the applicable state or within commutable distance
  • One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of customer and personal services principles and processes
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic including money calculations
  • Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand parking rate structures
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission preferred
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the applicable state or within commutable distance
  • One (1) month related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • Ability to read and write standard English language
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s
  • Ability to perform calculations with units of American money
  • Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor
  • Use guest last names during interactions
  • Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
  • Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
  • Post up in designated areas when not completing tasks
  • Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
  • Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
  • Provide guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
  • Deliver messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested
  • Shuttle guests to appropriate places approved by the location
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
  • Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys
  • Consistently complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt
  • Consistently complete location on all key tags after parking vehicle
  • Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
