The role of a Guest Service Associate at Towne Park is pivotal in representing the company’s dedication to excellent customer service and operational efficiency. The position is full-time with a weekday schedule from 6am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, offering an hourly base pay of $24 plus tips. The Guest Service Associate is tasked with interacting closely with guests and providing exceptional hospitality throughout their visit. Responsibilities include parking and retrieving vehicles safely and efficiently, assisting with luggage handling, and responding to guest inquiries about parking rates, directions, and local amenities. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within commutable distance
- One month of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to operate a vehicle safely and cautiously
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- Ability to follow established procedures and operational guidelines
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state of employment or a commutable distance
- One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to add and subtract three-digit numbers and perform multiplication and division with 10’s and 100’s
- Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
- Ability to operate manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor
- Use guest last names during interactions
- Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
- Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
- Post up in designated areas when not completing tasks
- Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
- Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
- Provide guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
- Deliver messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested
- Shuttle guests to approved locations
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
- Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys
- Consistently complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt
- Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
