The role of the Guest Service Associate at Towne Park is integral to maintaining this standard of excellence. This position operates primarily on the PM shift from Friday through Sunday, with compensation at an hourly base pay starting at $22.50 plus tips and an additional $1.50 shift differential for overnight hours. The Guest Service Associate is responsible for delivering exceptional hospitality by parking and retrieving guest vehicles promptly and safely while assisting guests with their luggage and other needs.
This job requires consistent demonstration of polite and professional communication, from greeting guests warmly within five feet, to using guest last names during interactions, and maintaining proper phone etiquette. Guest Service Associates explain parking rates and vehicle retrieval procedures clearly and manage key tickets and revenue collection accurately. The role also involves helping guests with directions, taxi arrangements, reservations, and providing information about facilities and local attractions.
Physically, the position demands stamina and the ability to perform various physical activities such as walking, standing for extended periods, lifting luggage weighing up to 100 pounds occasionally, and operating vehicles carefully, including manual transmissions and parallel parking. The role is mostly outdoors, requiring the candidate to operate in various weather conditions.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver's license for the state of employment or within commuting distance
- One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to perform basic math operations with American money
- Ability to understand 24 hour and military time
- Ability to operate manual transmission preferred
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within commuting distance
- One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of customer and personal service principles
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend and write simple instructions and correspondence
- Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with U.S. currency
- Understanding of 24-hour and military time systems
- Skill in operating manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor
- Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
- Issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks before issuing keys
- Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
- Provide information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities and local attractions
- Deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
- Shuttle guests to approved locations
