The Guest Service Associate role at Towne Park is a vital position responsible for delivering outstanding hospitality services to guests. Individuals in this role engage actively with guests, ensuring that they feel welcomed, valued, and well-assisted from arrival to departure. The associate manages parking and retrieval of vehicles efficiently while prioritizing safety. Additionally, the role involves assisting guests with luggage handling and providing helpful information regarding the facility amenities and local area attractions.

Towne Park offers competitive compensation with an hourly base rate of $21 and provides a comprehensive work schedule primarily consisting of afternoon and evening shifts. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within commutable distance
  • one month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • ability to read and write standard English
  • ability to comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence
  • ability to write simple correspondence
  • ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings
  • ability to perform basic math operations using American money
  • knowledge of 24 hour and military time systems
  • ability to understand parking rates
  • physical capability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally
  • able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • availability to work Mon-Sun PM shifts (2p-10p and 4p-8p)

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • must hold a valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within a commutable distance
  • one month of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • knowledge of customer and personal service principles and processes
  • ability to read and write standard English
  • ability to read, comprehend simple instructions, and write simple correspondence
  • effective presentation skills for one-on-one and small group interactions
  • mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division especially with American money
  • understanding of 24 hour and military time
  • ability to understand applicable rates related to time passed
  • ability to operate manual transmission highly desirable
  • ability to perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
  • acknowledge and greet guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor
  • use guest last names during interactions
  • use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
  • practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
  • post up in designated areas when not completing tasks
  • park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
  • assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
  • open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
  • provide guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
  • deliver messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested
  • shuttle guests to appropriate places approved by the location
  • explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
  • issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys
  • complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt from all vehicles taken into the valet system
  • calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
