The Guest Service Associate role at Towne Park is pivotal in ensuring that guests receive top-notch hospitality and service during their parking and vehicle retrieval experiences. This position requires individuals who are attentive, friendly, and efficient in managing guest interactions. The role encompasses the parking and retrieval of guest vehicles safely and promptly, as well as assisting patrons with their luggage where needed, particularly during arrivals and departures. The Guest Service Associate serves as an ambassador of Towne Park’s brand, maintaining a warm and professional demeanor in all guest interactions, from greeting guests by name to providing helpful information about the location and surrounding area amenities.

Beyond the operational duties, the Guest Service Associate also manages administrative tasks such as issuing claim checks, collecting payments, maintaining ticket information, and adhering strictly to company procedures to ensure smooth and accurate service delivery. Employees in this role must be physically able to meet the demands of working outdoors in varying weather conditions, often for extended periods, and must handle tasks that involve lifting and moving luggage or vehicle-related equipment. Towne Park values safety and professionalism, so acts with caution when driving guest vehicles and assisting customers is crucial.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree
  • Valid driver’s license for the state of employment or commutable area
  • One (1) month related experience and/or training
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Capability to perform basic math operations
  • Physical ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Capability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and coworkers
  • Willingness to work Monday through Sunday schedule

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state you are applying to work, or within a commutable distance from the state you are applying to work (as applicable)
  • One (1) month related experience and/or training
  • OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • Ability to read and write standard English language
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients and other employees of the organization
  • Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s
  • ability to perform these operations using units of American money
  • Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintains pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
  • Acknowledges and greets guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor
  • Uses guest last names during interactions
  • Uses salutation of the day and welcomes guests to the location
  • Practices proper Towne Park phone etiquette
  • Posts up in designated areas when not completing tasks
  • Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
  • Assists guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
  • Opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
  • Provides guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
  • Delivers messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested
  • Shuttles guests to appropriate places that are approved by the location
  • Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
  • Issues claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys
  • Consistently completes and maintains all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt from all vehicles taken into the valet system
  • Consistently completes location on all key tags after parking vehicle
  • Calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed
