The Guest Service Associate position at Towne Park is a vital role that centers on providing outstanding hospitality and service to guests. This role requires an ability to perform various operational tasks including issuing claim checks and collecting them before returning vehicle keys, maintaining accurate records such as damage surveys, key tags, and guest folios, while also handling revenue collection when necessary. Additionally, you will assist guests with directions, reservations, taxis, and other inquiries, as well as deliver messages or items and shuttle guests to approved locations. The physical demands include the ability to lift heavy objects up to 100 pounds, work outdoors in variable weather conditions, and maintain stamina while standing or walking for extended periods. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license for the state of employment or commutable distance
- One month related experience or training
- Ability to read, write and comprehend English
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Ability to understand time systems and parking rates
- Ability to perform physical tasks including parallel parking and lifting
- Availability to work Monday through Sunday
- Capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- Willingness to follow established procedures and guidelines
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state of employment or a commutable distance
- One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and perform multiplication and division with 10’s and 100’s
- Ability to perform operations using units of American money
- Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using guest last names
- Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
- Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
- Post in designated areas when not completing tasks
- Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
- Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and inquiries
- Provide information about outlets, meeting rooms and amenities
- Deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
- Shuttle guests to approved locations
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests
- Issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys
- Collect claim checks prior to issuing keys
- Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey and claim check receipt
- Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
