Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license for the applicable state or commutable distance
- One month of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of customer service principles
- Ability to read and write in English
- Ability to understand and follow instructions
- Physical ability to regularly talk, hear, sit, stand, run, walk, handle objects, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and 50 pounds frequently
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Availability for shift work including early mornings, late evenings, and overnight shifts
- Travel up to 5 percent may be required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Valid driver’s license for the state or commutable distance
- One month related experience or training, or equivalent education and experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for customer and personal service
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend and write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with American currency
- Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand applicable rates and time passed
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using their last names
- Use salutation of the day and welcome guests
- Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
- Post up in designated areas when not completing tasks
- Park and retrieve vehicles while driving cautiously
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
- Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and inquiries
- Provide guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and local attractions
- Deliver messages, items, and guest amenities as requested
- Shuttle guests to approved locations
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures upon arrival
- Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks before returning keys
- Complete and maintain all ticket and key tag information, damage surveys, and claim check receipts
- Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
