Job Description

The Laylow, Autograph Collection Hotel is a unique and serene retreat located in the vibrant heart of Waikiki, Hawaii. Known for its mid-century modern design infused with the warmth and spirit of Hawaiian hospitality, The Laylow provides guests with a lush tropical escape that perfectly balances nostalgia with modern comforts. This hotel is a part of the prestigious Autograph Collection, representing a dedication to delivering exceptional experiences blended with distinctive style. The property’s atmosphere is both stylish and welcoming, offering vibrant social spaces that encourage connection and relaxation among travelers, creatives, and adventurers alike. The Laylow’s commitment to quality service, attention to detail, and celebration of local culture distinguish it as a premier destination in Waikiki.

This role is crafted for an individual who embodies genuine warmth and professionalism from the moment guests arrive until their departure. The position requires someone who can create a seamless and welcoming experience, making every guest feel at home and cared for throughout their stay. The candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of the hotel’s facilities, amenities, and events, enabling them to confidently answer any guest inquiries and enhance their visit with personalized recommendations. Responsibilities include greeting guests with a sincere smile, assisting with luggage, opening doors, and bidding guests a memorable farewell, ensuring a complete and positive guest experience. The position also demands safe and secure handling of guest vehicles, including driving and storing keys with care and respect.

Ideal candidates are approachable, professional, and possess an intuitive ability to read guests’ needs and anticipate them proactively. Physical capabilities such as lifting luggage and standing for extended periods are essential due to the nature of the interactions and services provided. The Laylow also prioritizes the well-being of its staff by offering a comprehensive benefits package through the Makeready collection. Team members can take advantage of generous paid time off options, including PTO and PTO exchanges, medical, dental, and vision benefits, maternity and paternity leave, as well as pet insurance. Additional perks include company-matched dependent care and 401(k) plans, student loan repayment programs, and various other ancillary benefits aimed at supporting the health, happiness, and overall success of every team member.

The Laylow takes pride in its inclusive culture, fostering an environment where every team member can bring their authentic self to work. Equal opportunity employment is a foundation of the company’s values, promoting diversity and ensuring that all employment decisions are based solely on individual qualifications, experience, and performance. The hotel’s guiding principles reflect a commitment to working harmoniously and effectively, creating a workplace where mutual respect and shared success are the norms.
