The Guest Service Associate role at Towne Park is a customer-focused position responsible for delivering outstanding hospitality services to guests in a courteous, attentive, and efficient manner. This position involves parking and retrieving guest vehicles safely and promptly, assisting guests with luggage handling including delivery and pick up, and providing general assistance and information related to the facility and its surroundings. A typical work schedule is full-time Monday through Friday from 10 am to 6 pm or 11 am to 7 pm, with part-time and full-time opportunities available. The Guest Service Associate maintains a pleasant and professional demeanor when interacting with guests, coworkers, and clients, greeting guests respectfully within close distance and using guest last names to personalize service. The associate also performs essential parking duties such as issuing claim checks, completing ticket information accurately, explaining parking rates, and calculating revenue where necessary. Additional tasks include assisting guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and amenities, as well as shuttling guests to approved locations. Employees must be comfortable working outdoors for extended periods and able to meet physical demands including lifting and moving objects up to 100 pounds occasionally. The job requires a valid driver’s license, competence in vehicle handling including parallel parking, and effective communication skills in English.

Job Requirements

  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within commutable distance
  • High school diploma or GED
  • One month related experience or training or equivalent education and experience
  • Ability to read comprehend and write simple English
  • Ability to perform basic math operations with American money units
  • Ability to operate manual transmission preferred
  • Ability to perform parallel parking
  • Ability to meet physical demands including lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Availability to work full-time or part-time shifts Monday through Friday

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license
  • One month related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of customer and personal service principles
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence
  • Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to perform basic math including addition subtraction multiplication and division with American money units
  • Understanding of 24-hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant friendly and professional demeanor with guests coworkers and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using guest last names
  • Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
  • Practice proper phone etiquette and post in designated areas when not completing tasks
  • Park and retrieve vehicles safely and cautiously
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
  • Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assist guests with directions taxis reservations and other inquiries
  • Provide information about facility amenities and local attractions
  • Deliver messages items and guest amenities as requested
  • Shuttle guests to approved locations
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures upon arrival
  • Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks from guests prior to issuing keys
  • Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag guest folio vehicle location damage survey and claim check receipt
  • Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
