Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC) is a leading healthcare institution dedicated to providing exceptional medical care and support services to its patients and visitors. As a reputable hospital in the Baltimore area, GBMC is committed to maintaining a safe, welcoming, and efficient environment for everyone who walks through its doors. The organization prides itself on its core values which emphasize respect, excellence, accountability, teamwork, ethical behavior, and results-driven performance. These values guide every employee's actions and interactions, ensuring that care and service are delivered with compassion, professionalism, and integrity.

The position of Valet and Facility Support at GBMC plays a critical role in enhancing the patient and visitor experience by offering attentive and friendly valet services under general supervision. This role involves the safe and organized intake, parking, and retrieval of vehicles while maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor. Beyond valet duties, the position supports various garage and facility functions such as customer assistance, cashiering, preparing bank deposits, managing cash handling, operating revenue control equipment, completing daily reports, and ensuring proper operation of parking booths including opening and closing procedures.

This role is designed for individuals who have a high school diploma or equivalent, with at least one year of relevant work and driving experience. The Valet and Facility Support employee must demonstrate sound judgment, initiative, and the ability to exercise discretion under diverse conditions. Proficiency in basic math, excellent communication skills, and knowledge of record-keeping and personnel policies are essential for success. The position requires a valid driver's license, maintained throughout employment, and CPR certification obtained within the first 90 days and kept current. The job demands physical stamina as the employee will be standing, walking, and sitting for prolonged periods and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds. Working conditions may vary, requiring the employee to perform duties both indoors and outdoors, in different weather environments including heat, cold, rain, and snow.

This full-time role offers a competitive pay range from $17.13 to $21.69 per hour, with final salary offers based on qualifications, education, experience, and organizational alignment. GBMC is an equal opportunity employer, committed to fostering diversity and inclusion within its workforce, ensuring all qualified candidates receive equal consideration without discrimination. Working at GBMC gives employees the opportunity to contribute to a well-respected healthcare organization where their work impacts patient satisfaction and operational excellence directly.
