The role of a Parking Attendant is essential in maintaining a smooth, safe, and efficient operation at Marriott properties. As a Parking Attendant, you will be the first point of contact for guests and visitors arriving at the property, providing friendly assistance and ensuring a positive experience from the moment they arrive. Your primary duties will include opening doors, assisting guests with entering and exiting the property, and managing the flow of personal and commercial vehicle traffic, including guest vehicles, taxis, limousines, and buses. You will monitor vehicle parking to ensure compliance with legal regulations and company policies, maintaining safety and order in the parking areas.

Additionally, you will be responsible for communicating parking procedures clearly to guests and visitors, providing information about property amenities, services, hours of operation, and local attractions to enhance their stay. Safety and security are key aspects of this role, as you will monitor parking areas to identify any safety hazards, unauthorized personnel, or potential security issues, reporting these concerns promptly to your manager or supervisor. You will also maintain the security of vehicles and their keys, contributing to overall guest confidence and satisfaction.

This position requires standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, occasionally lifting or moving objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance. The Parking Attendant plays a vital role in upholding company standards of guest service by welcoming and acknowledging all guests warmly, anticipating and addressing their needs, and assisting guests with disabilities as necessary.
