We are currently seeking a dedicated and friendly Parking Attendant to join our team at Westin. This role is essential in creating a positive first and last impression for all guests and visitors entering and leaving the property. As a Parking Attendant, you will be responsible for opening doors, assisting guests with entry and exit, and ensuring the smooth and safe flow of vehicle traffic on the premises. This includes managing personal and commercial vehicles such as guest cars, taxis, limousines, and buses. A key part of your role will be to ensure that all vehicles are parked legally and safely, which helps maintain order and security within our parking areas.

Your duties will also involve providing guests with helpful information about the property's amenities, services, operating hours, and local attractions. Maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and security of parking levels is crucial, along with reporting any potential safety hazards or unauthorized access to management. The Parking Attendant plays a vital role in protecting both the company assets and the personal belongings of our guests by overseeing vehicle keys and following all company policies and safety practices.

Effective communication skills are paramount in this position as you will be welcoming guests warmly, anticipating their needs, and assisting individuals with disabilities. You will be expected to interact professionally with guests and team members alike, using clear language and telephone etiquette. Working collaboratively within the team to meet common goals ensures a seamless and pleasant experience for everyone on the property.

This position requires physical stamina, as it involves standing, sitting, or walking for long periods and occasionally lifting or moving lightweight objects. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • No related work experience required
  • No supervisory experience required
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance
  • Willingness to comply with company policies and safety training

Job Duties

  • Open doors and assist guests and visitors entering and leaving property
  • Monitor and direct personal and commercial vehicle traffic on property to ensure legal parking and smooth flow
  • Supply guests with directions and information about property amenities, services, hours of operation, and local areas of interest
  • Monitor and maintain safety, security, and cleanliness of parking areas
  • Report vehicles or safety hazards, unauthorized personnel, or potential security problems to management
  • Maintain security of vehicles and vehicle keys
  • Communicate parking procedures to guests and visitors
