The role of a Valet at The Pfister Hotel is crucial in maintaining the high standards of service guests expect from this distinguished establishment. The Valet position invites individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional experiences through gracious service and attention to detail. This full-time role involves warmly greeting guests upon arrival and departure, providing assistance with luggage, directions, and general inquiries to ensure every guest feels welcomed and valued. Responsibilities include safely parking and retrieving guest vehicles, including manual transmission automobiles, with care and efficiency.
Valets at The Pfister play a vital role in the smooth operation of the hotel's lobby by supporting both the Bell and Front Office teams. They assist with transporting luggage, managing group luggage tagging and storage, and arranging transportation such as taxis or rideshares. The position requires a strong physical capability to handle luggage up to 55 pounds consistently throughout the shift. Additionally, the role demands excellent communication skills, the ability to work in various weather conditions, and a commitment to upholding the hotel's legacy through attentive and courteous service.

Job Requirements
- Must have a safe driving record with the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report issued by the company
- at least two years of driving experience required
- ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles safely
- prior hospitality or customer service experience preferred
- excellent communication skills with the ability to speak and understand English clearly
- strong physical ability to grasp lift carry and move packages boxes and luggage up to 55 lbs continuously throughout the shift
- ability to stand walk bend stoop run and climb stairs for extended periods in a variety of weather conditions

Job Duties
- Warmly greet guests as they arrive and depart offering assistance with directions luggage and general inquiries
- assist guests in entering and exiting their vehicles safely and comfortably
- park and retrieve guest vehicles promptly and with care including manual transmission vehicles
- transport guest luggage from vehicles to bell carts and assist with group luggage tagging and storage
- arrange taxis rideshares or other transportation for guests as needed
- remain posted at the hotel entrance to ensure attentive guest service at all times
- provide information about hotel services and local attractions
- support Bell and Front Office teams as needed to ensure smooth lobby flow and guest satisfaction
- perform other duties as assigned by leadership
