As a Utility Worker at Fratellos, you will play a vital role in ensuring the environment is clean, safe, and welcoming for both guests and employees. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to support the smooth operation of the restaurant by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation across all food preparation and dining areas. This important position involves cleaning floors, walls, equipment, and service counters, as well as managing refuse disposal and resetting tables between seatings. You will also assist in dishwashing duties using either manual or mechanical methods and ensure that food storage areas are properly stocked and sanitized.

Job Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- 6 months experience working in retail or food service environment
- high school diploma preferred
- verbal and written communication skills
- must be able to read, speak, and understand English to communicate with guests and receive instructions
- experience in dealing with guest service problems
- food handlers permit as required by law
- brand certification as required
- ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time

Job Duties
- Create a positive guest experience by cleaning and maintaining hygienic work areas
- maintain the cleanliness of all surfaces and equipment including floors, ceiling tiles, walls, windows, worktables, hoods, vents, grills, refrigerators, service counters, storage areas
- remove refuse to designated areas
- clear and reset tables in dining areas between seatings and transport service-ware to the kitchen for cleaning
- scrape food from dirty dishes, pots, and pans and wash them by hand or load dishwasher and return them to proper storage
- clean equipment using specific chemicals to meet sanitary standards including heavy equipment
- assist all guests with specific requests and communicate special needs to server or supervisor
- load and unload supply trucks and transfer between storage and work areas
- stock, date, rotate, and check the temperature of food items
- perform other duties as assigned
