This position is for a part-time Utility Worker at Sodexo supporting kitchen and facility operations at a client site in Austin, specifically at a BAE Systems facility. The role involves crucial responsibilities related to maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in food production and service areas. These tasks include cleaning and maintaining equipment, utensils, floors, walls, and storage spaces, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and safety are met. The Utility Worker also supports the team by transporting and storing supplies, assisting with set-up and break-down duties, and complying with food safety protocols. Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- no related work experience required
- knowledge of sanitation procedures including basic food safety concepts
- ability to walk or stand for extended periods throughout shifts
- ability to reach, bend, stoop, push or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift or move 50 pounds
- punctuality and satisfactory attendance for scheduled shifts

Job Duties
- Washes dishes by hand or places them in a dishwashing machine
- cleans and sanitizes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks
- sweeps, mops, cleans and vacuums floors
- removes trash and garbage to designated areas
- cleans equipment using specific chemicals to ensure sanitary standards
- restocks supplies such as soap, paper towels, and cleaning materials
- assists with basic set-up and break-down tasks as directed
