This role primarily involves operating tractor-trailer units within the Walmart facility yard to facilitate the movement and placement of trailers. The selected associate will manage trailer inspections to ensure mechanical safety, emergency equipment readiness, and appropriate fuel levels, while also maintaining inventory checks and records in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. The position requires effective communication with various stakeholders including customers, suppliers, and fellow associates. The successful candidate will utilize warehouse management systems such as yard management radios to execute their duties efficiently.
